Rubber Soul

Fab Four at the height of their alikeness
When I think of Rubber Soul I always wonder: wouldn’t it be great if the Backstreet Boys resurfaced with a folky, psychedelic album that re-defined popular music? Before this album The Beatles were a hard-working bluesy rock band with a repertoire overflowing with covers. This was the turning point that led to their remaining albums that continue to blow and ease my mind. “Michelle” is mellow, “Drive My Car” is bitchin’, “Norweigan Wood” is timeless; the other great songs deserve equally complimentary adjectives. If Aliens came to my door and demanded a worldly possession I would give them a copy.
